BLOGANUARY DAY 23 – MY FAVOURITE QUOTE – BE THE DOER

Hi my lovely readers!

Well today’s Bloganury prompt was actually from yesterday, but I’m using it today so hope that’s alright 🙂

What is my favourite quote and why? Some of these prompts really make you think and dig deep. Because I’m on a self-improvement and self-development sort of path right now I think the quote that most resonates with me at the moment is:

“Be the DOER and not the dreamer.”

I don’t remember exactly where I heard this quote the first time, I think someone mentioned it in a podcast. But it had a big impact on me. I guess it falls into the same category as quotes such as “From nothing comes nothing” etc, but what all these similar quotes have in common is that they all basically say you need to take action if you want to see change.

Instead of just think about something, doing research or dreaming you actually need to take steps towards that dream of yours. You want to start a business? Make a start on creating your website and doing a bit of market research. Your dream is to work abroad for a few months? Look up some property agencies that can help you find an apartment.

You get what I’m trying to say. Not everything we want or dream about might come true, but taking steps towards our dreams, taking action and doing something about it is the first step in getting closer to our goal and dreams and making them a reality.

Do you have a favourite quote? If yes let me know in the comments.

    1. Yes, for sure. Well, dreams are important as they are the beginning. So we definitely need them, but yeah taking action is so important to realise them.
