ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS AT POLESDEN LACEY

Hi my lovely readers!

Christmas day is approaching very quickly and I’m in full Christmas mood and spirit. Wearing silly Christmas jumpers and earrings around the house, baking cookies and drinking a ton of mulled wine are only some activities that I love doing around this time of the year.

Another activity I look forward to for months is visiting some of the National Trust houses that are still open during the winter as they are always beautifully decorated for Christmas.

You can find magical Christmas trees in almost every room, beautifully decorated dining rooms with floral displays and unique Christmas themes that transform the houses and grounds into something special and heart warming.

One of those houses I managed to visit yesterday was Polesden Lacey in Surrey. The Christmas theme this year is Enchanted Evergreen Christmas, inspired by nature and animals that live around the grounds such as mice, badgers and squirrels. The Christmas display is still on until 26th December 2021 for everyone to enjoy. If you can’t go to Polesden Lacey, look for some of the other houses around you.

PS: I absolutely recommend a stop in the cafe as well as the shop. Their mushroom soup is scrumptious and the hazelnut chocolate just yummy. Plus, they have a lovely selection of gifts and foods that I bet you won’t be able to resist and that make lovely Christmas presents.
