TRAVEL THURSDAY QUOTE – BEACH RULES

Hi my lovely readers!

Lately, I’m feeling the winter blues I must say. I’m and my body is so confused with the weather.

One day we have beautiful sunshine, it’s warm and I’m sitting outside with my sleeves rolled up, listening to the birds chirp away and soaking in the sun.

The next day it’s bloody cold. It’s snowing and I’m curling up under my blanket and am going back to drinking mulled wine. I mean seriously? What the heck is going on?

Combine this with Covid restrictions and the result is total lack of motivation, feeling tired, eating all the remaining Easter chocolates in a few hours and just feeling crap.

To get out of this funky an weird mood, I’ve started to look at travel quotes that make me happy, which today’s quote is all about.

“Beach Rules: Soak up the sun. Ride the waves. Breathe the salty air. Feel the breeze. Build sandcastles. Rest, relax, reflect. Collect seashells. Bare-feet required.”

– Unknown

When I read this quote, I close my eyes and think of the sun, the warmth on my skin, the sound of the waves and what I would do if I was on the beach right now.

I actually think of my trip to Chankanaab in Cozumel, that’s the first thing that popped into my mind when I read this quote for the first time. I had such a good time in Chankanaab, a day filled with so many beach activities such as snorkeling, relaxing in hammocks, playing in the sun and building sand castles.

This quote takes me to a that happy place. Because I’m seriously missing the warm weather and those long summer days!

Is anyone feeling the same or is it just me?

Happy Thursday!

    1. It does, right? So missing those hot summer days, palm trees, the beach. Sitting by a lake is just not the same. Although I’m lucky enough to be living close to the river Thames and being able to enjoy nice water views.
