MY FAVOURITE DRESSES FOR CRUISE FORMAL NIGHTS

Hi my lovely readers!

I love formal nights. It is as simple as that.  I am always looking forward to them during a cruise.

I do not get the chance to dress up a lot and by that I mean wearing pretty cocktail dresses or evening gowns, spending an hour on doing my hair, putting on that lipstick that I normally do not dare to wear, but secretly love and so on.

Plus, I am just not that kind of girl that spends hours on make up everyday and you can hardly wear a cocktail or party dress to a garden party. That would be way overkill!

Therefore, when I get the opportunity I am always trying to make the most of it and always enjoy looking like a princess at least once a year.

With no further ado, here are my four favourite evening dresses I have worn over the years to formal nights on a cruise.

Let me know in the comments section what you think.

CLASSIC, SIMPLE AND SOPHISTICATED

If you do not feel comfortable in a cocktail dress, but still want to make an effort, maybe the below outfit is for you.

It is a simple and plain red dress that I actually wear to the office, too. I teamed it up with some statement pieces such as the necklace and of course the pursue with the flamingos to make my outfit complete and stand out a little more.

Also, this type of dress is great as it hides your belly after you had your three course dinner 🙂

PLAYFUL, FRESH AND YOUNG

This dress is very playful, colourful and just fun with the flower pattern and the frills. It is very comfortable due to the elastic waist band.

I like to wear dresses that match the cruise and the destination. I wore this during a Mediterranean cruise as I thought it fits in.

The shawl goes great with this dress and comes in useful at night when it gets colder. Win, win.

COCKTAIL DRESSES AND EVENING GOWNS

This first dress has been with me forever and I have worn it to many special occasions such as Prom, my high school graduation party in Germany (Abi Feier) and of course formal nights.

I absolutely love this dress. I love the burgundy colour, the leave embroidery at the front, the long trail and the fact that you can wear it with and without the straps. It is a very versatile dress and so pretty.

When I wear it, I feel like a princess.

Formal Night Dresses

The last dress I adore wearing is this white lacy evening gown.

It is very sophisticated, grown up, pure and a bit angelic in my opinion. I teamed this with a golden purse and golden shoes to give it a bit of bling.
